The basics

Don't know what a TCG is? Well, it's an online trading card game. Never played one before? Well, you've come to the right place to learn how. First off, you need a website to display your cards. (Anywhere is fine, like Geocities.) After that, make sure to read all of this page and the rules page. Check the card decks to find one you wish to collect and head over to the join page and fill in the form. You will receive a starter pack which contains 5 cards- 2 from your series of choice and 3 random cards.

After uploading them onto your site, reply to the email that I sent you and I'll send you one more card from the series of choice~ just to say thanks for putting your cards up. Remember to read the about page and rules page before joining, you don't know what you'll find.

Trading

Now that you've joined you are up to the whole point of this game- the trading part. Trading is very easy; just visit the members page and check out some of the cards that they are willing to trade. If you find something you are looking for, just send the member a polite email (or form if they have one on their site) giving details about your membership and what you'd like to trade. They'll reply either accepting or declining but please don't go annoying them if they choose to decline. There are other numerous ways to gain the card you may be looking for. After you have completed your trade, take down the card and put up the new card you received. Don't forget to mark it on your trade log too.

Rankings

Human ---> cards are not up yet
Senshi ---> 0-25
Star ---> 26-75
Prism ---> 76-150
Crystal ---> 151-250
Eternal ---> 251+

* Please note that a card is a card, even if it is a special card worth 2 it is still only counted as 1 card in the card count. The only time it is worth 2 is in a trade.

Levelling Up :: When you level up, fill out the Level Up form and you will receive certain amounts of choice/random cards depending which level it is.

Earning Cards

Besides the starter pack, cards can be earned on this site. They are pretty easy to earn and can be earned through Games, Donations, Referrals etc.. Upon joining, if you put "Boomerang" next to "Moon Tiara" without the quotations in the join form, you'll earn one extra random card.

Gems

Blue ---> 1 random card
Red ---> 1 choice card
Green ---> 1 random card from choice deck
Yellow ---> 1 random special card (worth 2)
Pink ---> 1 choice special card (worth 2)

Referrals

Normally, if someone names you as a referrer to this site, you'll receive 2 random cards. But we're in the process of having a membership drive right now and that means that the referral bonus will triple and upgrade.

That means from this point until the promotion ends, for every new member who joins the TCG and puts you down as the person to refer them to the TCG, you will receive 6 choice cards!

For new members, if you join during this time, your starter pack will include 2 extra cards and if you put an existing member as your referrer, you'll get an extra card for that as well. So if you're a fan of Pretty Guardian and enjoy TCGs, read through the rules and head over to the join form!

When a new member joins, if they don't put someone specific as a referrer, all current members have a chance to win 1 card through a lottery. (Which essentially is me drawing a name out of a hat.) To give everyone a pretty fair chance, you cannot be eligible to win the free card if you've just won the time before the current drawing.

Donations

You can receive cards for donating in badges and buttons. For donating a button you can get 2 random cards, a badge set 2 random cards and 2 choice cards. Donation badges are only allowed once a month and buttons twice a month. for more information check the Donations page.

Games

The main place to gain cards are in the games section. Depending on the difficulty of the questions/tasks, the amount of cards will be different. You can play some of the games more than once, but you can only take 1 prize per round. Whenever a game gets updated, a news announcement will be made so you know when you can play again for a new prize.

Mastering

When you master a set, you will get a mastery badge to show that you have mastered the deck and to also get rewarded for doing so. The rewards for mastering a deck is as follows:

• 10-card deck: 1 choice card & 2 random cards
• 20-card deck: 2 choice cards & 4 random cards
• 30-card deck: 3 choice cards & 6 random cards

For special decks (ones with cards worth 2), here are the rewards:

• 10-card deck: 1 choice special, 1 choice normal & 3 random cards
• 20-card deck: 2 choice special, 2 choice normal & 5 random cards

Only decks that have at least 10 cards in them and that are marked as being completed can be mastered.
Also, after mastering a deck some people choose to place it on a different page and others choose to keep it in the same place but no matter what you do, the deck may not be traded with other members once it has been mastered.
It is also up to you to fill out the form so that you may be recognized for your mastering ability.

Staff Playing

Staff members are just like regular members of the TCG and so can participate in all the games but they have the additional duties of helping out with the running of PG. For payment, in addition to the cards they can receive through games and freebies, staff members will also receive cards based on this system:

update a game (no more than once a week per game) ---> 2 random cards
each mastery form that is processed ---> 1 random card
level up forms ---> 1 card for every 3 forms
(for doubles or gem trade in and card exchange) every 5 requests processed ---> 1 random card
member checker ---> 1 card a week for every 5 members
create a deck ---> 4 random cards and 2 choice cards
create a button ---> 2 random cards
create a badge set ---> 2 random cards and 2 choice cards.

Staff will have an asterisk next to their names in the members list.
